 1. GENERAL INFORMATION

Shalaev Vladimir Pavlovich, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy, Honored Scientist of the Republic of Mari El, Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation.

The relevant status – the dean of faculty of social technologies, the head of the department of social sciences and technologies of the Volga State University of Technology (VSUT).

In different years he was a member of the Educational methodical management of Russian Universities in the Russian State University for the Humanities (Moscow), MGIMO (Moscow), RGUTIS (Moscow), St. Petersburg State University (St. Petersburg).

2. HIGHER EDUCATION ACTIVITIES

Over the years of work since the March 9th, 2007 he created more than 10 directions of the specialty, the bachelor's and the master's degrees at the Volga State University of Technology, the Department of Social Sciences and Technologies, the Faculty of Social Technologies, which he leads to present time.

Vladimir Pavlovich organize and lead educational and scientific laboratory of social technologies, a new postgraduate course in the areas of Social Philosophy (1999) and Sociology (2001), he is the scientific leader of which is up to the present. Under the scientific supervision of Mr. Shalaev 9 candidates of philosophical and sociological sciences were trained in the field of urgent problems of the development of modern man and society.

He is a major organizer of international educational projects. From 1999 to the present time, long-term contracts of educational and scientific cooperation with the universities of the USA, Germany, Bulgaria, Belarus, Turkey, Azerbaijan and well-known partner universities of Russia have been personally signed and actively used in St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Barnaul , Saransk, etc.There are active processes of exchange of training, practicing a visit lecturers.

Vladimir Pavlovich demanded scientific expert in the field of training highly qualified personnel. He is a member of the Dissertational Council on Philosophy at the Kazan Federal University (Kazan). He supports active partner creative scientific communications with a range of Councils for protection of theses and researchers at the universities of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Kazan, Saransk.

 3. THE SCIENCE ACTIVITY

Vladimir Pavlovich is organizer and leader of large-scale international scientific conferences of Russia: the international interdisciplinary scientific conference "Vavilov’s Readings" (more than 15 sections and round tables, annually from 1996 to 2018), the international scientific conference "Social and Human Sciences in the 21st Century" (from 2003 to 2018, 15 conferences were held). In 2003-2013 at Volgatech were held all-Russian seminar on social synergetics created by Mr. Shalaev (10 meetings were held). Elements of the seminar continue to operate within the framework of a wide range of scientific conferences.

Vladimir Pavlovich is the head of scientific projects, the winners of the grant competition of the RGNF:  RGNF N 01-03-00404a (2001); RGNF N 00-03-14020 (2000); RGNF N 15-07-14005 (2015); RGNF N 15-13-12004 (2015-2016); RGNF No. 17-13-12501 (2017).

He is a major organizer of scientific and publishing activities.

As editor and compiler he prepared more than 60 collections of scientific works of Russian and international level, totaling more than 1000 printed sheets. Among these works are the collections of materials "Vavilov Readings", "Social and Human Sciences and Practices in the 21st Century", "Social Synergetics and Actual Science" widely in Russia and abroad. In 2015, Mr. Shalaev founded the International Scientific Journal "Socio Time". Members of the editorial board and the editorial board of the journal are well-known scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Bulgaria, Germany, the United States, Slovakia, and Azerbaijan. Since 2018 the magazine has the status of VAK of Russia in the directions philosophy, sociology, history) and there are 4 times a year.

Vladimir Shalaev is a member of the editorial boards of 5 domestic and foreign scientific journals, including high-level journals: "Proceedings of the Belarusian State Technological University" (VAK Belarus); "Bulletin of the Baranovichi State University" (VAK of Belarus); "Conflictology" (St. Petersburg State University, St. Petersburg, VAK Russia); "Regionology" (Mordovian State University, Saransk) (HAC of Russia); "Tourism" (Azerbaijan University of Tourism and Management, Baku).

Area of ​​scientific interests of Vladimr Shalaev are actual problems of the development of scientific methodology, a systematic approach, social synergetics, topical philosophical and sociological problems of the development of modern man and society, the problem of globalization, topical issues of national security and the fate of Russia in the global world, scientific management basics.

He is the author of more than 600 scientific and methodical works, including 9 monographs, 9 manuals. More than 30 scientific articles were published in the WAC-journals of Russia. More than 30 scientific articles were published abroad: in scientific journals of Germany, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Pakistan. Shalaev’s Individual Index of Hirsch – 16.

4. PUBLIC SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

Chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Sociological Association (ROSA).

Chairman of the regional branch of the Russian Philosophical Society (RFE).

Chairman of the regional branch of the International Association of Conflictologists (IAC).

Organizer and more than 20 years Chairman of the Scientific and Cultural Center - House of Scientists in Yoshkar-Ola (House of Scientists).
